Kerry is a Hudson Valley media professional with over 15 years of experience in writing and communications.

A native of Newburgh, New York, Kerry is a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and the State University of New York at Oneonta. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication.

 

Following college graduation, Kerry began her career in Hudson Valley media as a writer and advertising sales representative for a local newspaper eventually working her way up to editor. She later became the Community Relations Specialist for nearly a decade of a low-income urban school district. In her role, she worked with community partners and stakeholders from churches and businesses to non-profits. Following her role in public education, she began the next chapter of her career in community recreation and continuing education programming.

Given her vast professional experience, Kerry learned early on that the people and small businesses are what make a community.
